Golden Heart Pet Care
Dog Walking & Pet Sitting in Portland, Oregon
Hello! I'm Deborah.
Since 2016, I have served hundreds of happy pets and their parents, dozens of whom I have worked with regularly for years.
The best part of my work is growing long-term relationships as a "pet auntie", as many clients consider me an extension of their family.
I truly adore pets of all breeds. I'm here to care for your fur babies as much as you do, so you can be free to travel with peace of mind.
I use a professional pet care app (Time To Pet) where clients can communicate with me, view and schedule services, and pay for invoices. I am also fully insured and bonded.
If you're interested in services, please contact me at deborahgoldsman(at)protonmail.com so we can set up a quick chat to see if I can best meet your needs.
After that, I offer a free half-hour meet and greet in your home to meet you and your pet(s) and learn their routine.

testimonials
"Deborah is a valuable member of the family! She cares about our fur babies as much as we do and it’s incredibly important to us to have her on speed dial for planning time away as well as on the calendar for regular dog walks.
She is reliable, kind and communicative about her visits. We always get great photos. Our high-maintenance, high-anxiety dog loves her. Our aloof cat loves her. We know we can count on her to care for our pets whenever we need an extra hand."
Heather & Wade Hewitt // Snow & Grace's parents
"Deborah has sat for our very rambunctious Bernese Mountain Dog and two cats (according to my husband, 1-7/8 cats -- one of them isn’t … quite right … ) any number of times, and I can recommend her enthusiastically and without reservation.
She’s reliable and responsible and has been wonderful about staying in touch while we’ve been gone. I pay her for the overnights and also add in one walk per day for our monster dog, but really it feels more like we have a friend staying at our place. Plus it’s evident she really is an animal person -- our beasts adore her."
-Willa Perlmutter // Bumpy, Boomer & Booger's mom
"Deborah has taken care of our cats several times and we highly recommend her. She sends regular photo updates while we're gone, clearly genuinely cares about our cats, and most importantly, we trust her and her judgment.
Our last trip was a couple weeks long and there was a heat wave during our time away, so it was especially important to have someone we trust checking in. She really goes above and beyond!"
-Zoë Klingmann // Mork & Martha's mom
"Deborah has become indispensable to our household. With all of the pandemic travel restrictions, the trips we have been able to go on have become even more important -- and having total peace of mind that our kitties will be loved and cared for in our absence are a big part of that.
One of our furry boys has required a lot of extra TLC, due to infirmity, and it meant so much to us that Deborah supported that. (He's no longer with us, and she was sad alongside us.)
She is extremely dependable, a great communicator, an expert cat snuggler, and treats not just our kitties but our home with care. We're lucky to work with her."
-Emily Brew & Miel Nelson // Milo & Jack's parents
"My two dogs absolutely love their walks with Deborah. She is fun, reliable, safe, and truly cares about animals. Deborah has also been an amazing pet sitter at my home for many vacations. It’s great getting updates on how my pets are doing while I’m away. I highly recommend Deborah and trust her."
